Nora Pratt is the last set of eyes on everything published here. Her job is to check that every claim traces back to a real source, that study findings aren't stretched past what they support, and that no article implies a treatment recommendation. She came from long-form editorial work in consumer health, where she built the habit of asking "compared to what, and in how many people?" of every sentence. She also writes our pricing and industry coverage, which turns out to be the same job in a different form. A company announcing a fifty percent price cut is making a claim, and the useful question is the one she asks of everything else: compared to what, for whom, and does the number survive contact with what people actually pay. She doesn't write clinical content and doesn't give advice — she makes sure the people who do stay accurate. She's also the reason this site's articles say "may" more often than most.
